The Radiator Springs 500½ short is out (only viewable online or on your IOS device). The short features 4 off-road racers who come to town and challenge Lightning McQueen. The CARS on card photos are here.
Blue Grit.
The blue body is diecast metal.
It’s freakin huge! Compared to Lightning McQueen.
Idle Threat – nicely detailed.
The red “cage” of this CAR is diecast metal.
Not quite as large as Blue Grit but still pretty large.

No official timetable on the release of these but since they are being produced, we can probably presume they’ll be out in the Fall.

No MSRP, but the $11.99 Might be the pull backs These will be around $5-$6 if Target and Walmart stick to their profit margins.
The MSRP on Mattel.com is $11.99! Currently only showing Blue Grit and Off-road LMQ

Is it just me, or can no one else now find the Radiator Springs 500½ short referenced here on their website?

That’s exactly where these came from, Chinese back-door vendors. The local stores around me, even when a product is in wide release, never have anything on the pegs, so I have switched over 100% to buying online.
According to Mattel these are available July 1st!

No clue to pricing, but here we are at nearly the end of June, and Mattel still hasn’t updated their Cars website for 2014 yet! Talk about a marketing ‘fail’.
I’m looking forward to these. Hopefully my kids will like them, but if they aren’t really into them, I think I’m done with Cars.
