Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Pizza Planet Todd – Clean?
Mattel has provided a photo of the upcoming single release of Todd (Pizza Planet):
While he does show some rust … this is actually a clean version of Todd versus of his last release.
So, will he actually get a “clean” Todd release? Or did someone just snap an early photo?

I think this is a completely different model – even scale – maybe…
Look at the definition in the clean version…
three point attachment for the planet logospaceship on the roof…
fine lines where the hood is and where the gas tank is…
detached front bumper…
even the back window is deeper in the dirty truck…
And the front grill is different too!
“Clean” Todd is most likely a photo of a hand sample prototype from years ago — it’s typical to use a hand-made item for promo photos before tooling is finished, and this image likely just got resurrected again.
Todd for sale out of Hong Kong on ebay is the same as the original, with the dirt.
I am guessing the top photo is what Todd looks like before final hand painted “dirt” is added a la Chug.
Wasn’t this the same early photo they showed for Todd back when he was first released in 2009?

i couldn’t find it but i remember a pic of todd from toy fair or something. an early prototype.
