Mattel Disney Pixar CARS Diecast: John & Nancy Movie Moment

The kissing couple on the bridge are named after Pixar founder John Lasseter & his wife, Nancy.

Thanks for the nice photo of the EU package, “David V!”

Perhaps this will arrive in the next US Movie Moment box – as of now, unknown when the next case is coming.

“John H.” sends us his open photos …

John-Marsha-top

John, as the Citroën 2CV is massively oversized. The actual is definitely smaller than the Citroën DS (Nancy) and the actual car is much closer to the size of Uncle Topolino but if your only frame of reference is the screenshot, then, well, “it’s mostly accurate.”

Or you could note that John L. in real life is not a small man so … 🙂

The detailing on both diecasts are nice.

Lips are diecasts are weird.

Compared to the other Citroën DS, Raoul’s crew chief – interesting the made an entire new sculpt but the new sculpt is a much better looking DS and a pretty spot on sculpt of the classic DS that most car aficionado would recognize.

Though Bruno might represent a later DS release?

I’m presuming at some point, the back lights on Bruno is accurate to a later model year? Any experts on the DS care to chime in?

Thanks for the nice and great photos, “David V.” and “John H.”

This kiss is our list.

Found these in Utah today so they’ve hit the US.

Mattel… when will I see this at my Target? The MM are STILL plagued with Finn/Tombar & Mater/Zen Pitty. For the love of everything I love about Cars come and pick this trash off the pegs please. It has been TWO Years! I would like to see some of these in the store too :-/

These have been on that France web site for a couple of weeks. So is their a International case seller so we can purchase the international cases? They also have like 6 other cars that have international fronts like Lizzie and that copper one and no stall. Yet I have seen both of the copper one in U S and international cards. Does someone know more about case releases in U S and international.

(MET: Generally they are about the same, there are usually fewer international case codes – recently, many case (assortments) have been available overseas first).

Would love to find that set in the wild, but recently it’s been very, very dry in my part of the woods (I’m in south Germany).

At least I got to see some of the upcoming Cars and Planes sets at the Toy Fair in Nuremberg, but they only had a few models on display. Most of the models I knew already about thanks to T5aday.

The only (unknown to me) highlight were the “Radiator Springs 500” models they were showing. Mostly diecast (off-road versions of Mater, Lightning, etc.) and some plastic dune buggy kind of vehicles. (Probably from a playset).

I own a DS of this generation (third front). And no, Bruno is not more accurate at the rear for any year of DS, Nancy’s rear is much better. However Bruno IS more accurate at the area of the front headlights. The headlights should not slant up as they wrap around the side, like way they do on Nancy.

Would have been nice to find this in the U.S. before Valentine’s day.
