Continuing from 2013, CARS singles & multi-packs are grouped by theme – For 2014, “Race Fans” seems to comprise of CARS 2 Race Fans.

The other three in this category are all race fans but since they don’t have names yet, it’s hard to guess which ones they are: Fiat with McQueen sign is presumably a Fiat 500 with a McQueen sign and not just his 95 logo? I did not bother to scan the dozens of CARS 2 scenes for the Fiat in the stands with a McQueen sign – does this ring a bell with anyone?
The other two are a Carla Veloso fan and a Francesco fan – I have two photos of possible fans. I do not know if these are them as they don’t actually have any signs of fandom so these might be from a 2-pack or box set but I figured you want to see them anyway – what names and where they fit into doesn’t matter, you’ll either collect them all or pass them up, right? 🙂

There’s now an orangish colored Fiat 500 as a McQueen fan, the name is Cartney Carsper …
I just received the Cartney Carsper, and it is very cute, very good on scale, and nicely made. It is the same size as Franca and Francesca, but it has a new sculpt as the mouth is a smile, and not a smirk like those two use.
I’m all for new diecasts but not when they’re essentially repaints for obscure “blink for a millisecond and miss them” cars.
Like most I overpaid (one way or another) for Mama B, so it’s a bit of a kick in the nuts she’s being rereleased as a single. Will be cool to see her on a card back though.
I’d like to see the bright green BMW 2002 partially shown in the far right of the pic with the Fiat 500 McQuen fan released.

So much for collecting any of the Target multi-pack “exclusives”. I’ll never buy another one of those again. I need to go dig up the ones I bought and sell them now. No need to hold them as collectibles with a re-release taking place.
Mama Bernouilli no longer an exclusive… interesting…. What is the meaning of “Exclusive” now?….. We are not even a year away from that one…
(MET: Depending on when Mama Bernoulli actually comes out as a single – the 4 pack arrived around March 2013 so as long as it’s after February 2014 … but basically they have a legal weasel – “exclusive” could pretty much apply to anything – only at Target at this time, only as a 4-pack, etc … the general guideline is that it won’t be available anywhere else for a year …).
So Met how does that 1 year exclusivity explain Bruno Motoreau 4 pack at Target, then a few months later he was in the 2 pack at Walmart?
My thinking is that this so called one year store exclusive is not enforceable by contract, and Target doesn’t care because the regular customer coming in doesn’t follow the Cars line very closely. The customer sees “exclusive” and thinks how nice a gift this will make for Johnny or Janie.
Mama Bernoulli in the 4 pack was out last April. So if we see her as a single before next April then its pretty clear to me that these 4 packs
are out of my collection. Besides there are so many loose ones from the Target sets sold on ebay, that these don’t hold any real collector value anymore.
(MET: Basically, “exclusive” means what they want it to mean – honestly, it’s generally laziness when they don’t ever re-release something but they’re basically protected because they can claim 4 for $19 is about the same as buying a single (nevermind the 3 other cars are repeats) …).
This category has 3 of 4 former Target 4 pack exclusives being re- released as singles. The only new one is the Red Fiat Mcqueen Fan with flag. But I think Mama Bernoulli will be improved.

The grey Miata was sitting on a boat at the beginning of the Porto Corsa race with Fabrizio. I think the green car was with them too but I’ll have to look.
The grey and green car sit together on the same boat. Fabrizio sits with a Fiat 500.
I think we are going to get Denise Beam and Frank Clutchinson for the Carla and Francesco fans.
