Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Kmart Case Confirmed
The Kmart CARS Day #10 case assortment seems pretty confirmed. The photo from “Jack” essentially matches the unofficial “official list.”
So, while we were pretty certain it was a Gold Metallic Rip, this pretty much removes any doubt. What is interesting is it does NOT say Kmart exclusive so I guess only Muggsy Liftsome & John Lassetire are “Kmart exclusives.”
So, no the Silver Metallic WGP racer series is still not complete. But since there are more silver CARS, there’s a faint glimmer of hope.
Speaking of silver metallic CARS,we now have a Silver Metallic CARS 1 Lightning McQueen.
“Jack” also notes an error on his Mildred Bylane’s – I think those are Nigel Gearsley’s rims? I’m presuming it’s not a production variant but an error. Most Mildred Bylane’s have the correct old style bulge rims on the right.
The case photo above is not complete (only 16 CARS from the case shown). Chick was not listed in the original case but the “new/newer” diecast characters in the case all seem correct. Since Ruka and Mildred Bylane made it out in Q case – there are still technically two “first to market” CARS – Metallic Rip & Metallic Lightning but there are no indications they will get a Kmart snipe/sticker so it looks like they’ll be released again. Only Ruka as a CHASE will not get another release – everything else is just another single – though I think Ruka is available in 3 cases?

Kmart CSR states:
Due to this being a PREORDER items no other promos are valid
I’m only going to buy Cars on the 19th just to get the Mail-in Cars.
with all the kmarts that have put these out early
I expect there will be a lot of pissed off collectors when they go on the 19th and there are no cars for kmart day
Hearing about all the stores releasing early is making me nervous. I don’t want to have to order a whole case to get the 5 Cars I want!
As underwhelmed as I am with this case — and especially that gold metallic Rip — I’m distressed these are showing up helter skelter in places. It takes me three hours of straight driving to get to my closest Kmart. I realize that I keep bellyaching about the same thing here but if the cases aren’t embargoed until the 19th of October, there won’t be any point to attending a Collector Day. Ugh. Are these cases even being offered online as we’ve come to expect?
