Make Your Own Disney Store Chase Rip Clutchgoneski Variant

“Toyfountain” did not like the yellow rims on the new Disney Store Gold Metallic Rip Clutchgoneski so with a little screwdriver, he made the switch …

variant rip

Pretty easy with screws in the base – and another Rip.

So, the Gold Metallic Rip Clutchgoneski’s are CHASES or not?

Though it also hardly matters as the plastic lid has the CHASE sticker while the nameplate stays with the base so an easy swap …

Thanks for the nice photo, “ToyFountain.”

According to the physical Disney Store’s release memo, it is not a Chase.

We have seen the Disney Store online make the mistake of listing Red Metalic Ramone as a Chase when he was not.

My theory, Disney Store did not like the way the Rip was purchased by the resellers in bulk. By making him a non-Chase, Disney Store can flood the market and bring down the price. We have seen this with the regular Rip this year.

My vote, metallic Rip is not a Chase.

No. He is not a chase. I’ve been to several stores and have not seen a single chase sticker on dozens of these. The Disney store does not lost it as a chase. What happened to some are they have been switched with chase cases or they simply come off and the employee doesn’t know which top to put on what car so they get switched and this the confusion. It is NOT a chase

Update. Disney store list it as a chase so they are probably right. But I have yet to see one with a chase sticker. Maybe the people who box them ran out of stickers. Only way to get one with a sticker is pop the top off a chase at the Disney store and put it on your rip.
