There was a short lived homage to C&H called Hobbes & Bacon. Calvin was grown up and married to Susie and he gave Hobbes to his daughter Frances. It didn’t have the heart fully of the original.

The best comic strip of all time is Bob Peterson’s “Loco Motives” in the Purdue Exponent from 1984 to 1986. Some of you may have heard of him. (hint: “Up”)

When I was in Kansas City 2 weeks ago my cousin gave me a huge box that had the Complete Collection of Calvin and Hobbes inside it, along with Complete Collections of a few other comic strips. It was probably one of the coolest gifts I have ever gotten 🙂
