Mattel Disney PLANES: Next Gift Packs Not Exclusives
It’s been nearly a week so why not a change in plans? :-/
It looks like now the PLANES PIT ROW GIFT SETS are available everywhere – not Walmart exclusives. The updated listing no longer says anything about Walmart Exclusive.
In fact, “Danrio” has already found the Ripslinger Gift Set at Target …
Interesting that the prototype pic of him had him matching the logo and not the PLANE but now he’s a better match with Ripslinger.
So, the next two are Ishani and Arturo/Aeuro – maybe CASE C?
Ishani gets a Gift Set & Pitty – the Pitty even has a Bindi! 🙂
And a previously un-revealed character, the Italian PLANE – while Walmart calls him Artouro, his wings actually read Aeuro so it seems the name on his wing trumps what WM think his name is.
It’s hard to say when they will arrive but since we still have about a month before the movie actually opens – presumably this will arrive around that time as a refresh reminder. Drop us a line if you spot these in stores or online.
If you still want to pick up the sets already out – Walmart.com seems to have the best price for the box sets – $11.97 – with FREE SHIP to STORES or a local FedEx Office – which can be convenient if you’re already there or close by.

I bought the first 5 at target in wa state aug. 3 made for a great birthday at the cemetery.
Especially since some evil people took all his cemetery statues, cherish teddies and piggy banks.
I’m glad we have never left his cars there.
I’m not trying to be a downer but check with the cemetery groundskeeper. At cemeteries around me, they only allow items on headstones for short periods of time. Then the items usually get put in the groundskeeper garage for a bit so someone can claim them.
Movie shows the name as being “Arturo”.
Best price that I’ve seen on the gift packs was at Big Lots – $11.00. Intend to pick them up. We have a few of the books, so I understand now that the tents are not gimpy hangers just put in there as fluff. They’re like their airshow booths – where the racers are up for display and meet and greet before the race. Makes a difference to me, for some reason.
Here’s a footnote to the above discovery from the “back of the card”:
Where the “collect them all” info appears on the back of Dusty’s Pit Row Gift Pack package, Bulldog and El Chupacabra are pictured as “the others”. El Chupa’s package shows Dusty and Bulldog as “the others”. Bulldog’s package shows Dusty and El Chupa. Those are the only 3 mentioned so far.
Ripslinger’s package (certainly no less than the 4th to be released) shows just Dusty and El Chupa as “the others”.
So, going by the package backs, it’s difficult to say what constitutes “THEM ALL” !
Does this means that all Planes now have a gift pack like this and can be found in all retail stores? Kind of lost the checklist on this. Thankz for the update.
(MET: There are 6 Gift Packs listed (they are simply listed as Gift Pack 1, 2, etc ) and right now, we have 6 revealed (4 definitely out and the two above) so as of now, the 6 are the complete release list … since they seem to selling okay, we should get more but who knows – the list can be updated at anytime – since they seem to selling well, we will probably see more around the DVD release (November?)).
Yay!, I may have a chance of actually finding them now 🙂
So far the only place I’ve found the tent sets is my local TRU. Luckily they’re packed with them, so hopefully I’ll find these new sets soon.

Why are the tents so small? You’ll need 2 or 3 of them to properly house each Plane and Pitty.
Unlike the Cars launchers, I’m actually going to try to collect all the tent sets. I have the first three. Only opened Dusty so far and the kids love him. I also have an open Dusty from the Target 4 pack so the kids don’t fight over him.
