Mattel Disney PLANES: Yorkie the Aircraft Carrier – Carrying Case

It’s still hard to really tell what size Yorkie is … though if that “Navy Dusty” is about the same size as a diecast release (this one is plastic), it looks wide enough to land and park some PLANES. I think the shipping info implies he’s around 18″ long?

Then I presume if you push this button, the side opens …

To reveal the carrying case – holds 6 PLANES according to the box.

No word on pricing – not available yet, maybe on the 28th – Amazon has lots of other aircraft carriers …

Walmart.com has it for $29.97 with free ship to store.

Saw plenty of Yorkie at TRU in Burlington, VT on June 30. It is much smaller than I thought. The naval Dusty in the box is at best 2/3 the size of a singles Dusty. Much assembly required, as the box is only about three inches thick which is the height of the hull. Way too small to be used with our DS Battleship, so passed up the purchase.

Hopefully they’ll be making that Navy putty that’s pictured on the box!

The number on the side of the superstructure says 81 on the box, and 10 on the actual toy – was this meant to be modeled after a real carrier? Not having seen the movie I have no idea…..it would be awesome if the Disney store had one in the same scale as the Cars combat ship – but that would be too large to sell, I think.

Unless that kid has the world’s biggest hands, I don’t think Dusty is the right scale.
