Zebras Good For Cattle

I don’t know much about cattle ranching and if zebras can really help but I’m ALL for more zebras roaming the countryside whether it’s Kenya, California or Texas!

“Our findings provide further evidence that biodiversity conservation and economic development can be simultaneously achieved in human-occupied savanna landscapes,”

Via Futurity.org.

Maybe the phrase, All Hat, No Zebra will FINALLY catch on?

I don’t know much about zebras except you cannot tame them enough to ride them … the ones Sheena rides on are just horses painted with stripes.

Sheena of course is one of the best silent movies of the last 50 years … as a talkie, not so much. 🙂

The school corporation that we live in, their mascot is the Zebra. To our knowledge, there is only one other cooperation with the Zebra as a mascot. Not too tough sounding. Home of the fighting Zebras… We are the food change for all the other mascots in the world. Just a little FYI for anyone interested.

So are the zebras white with black stripes or black with white stripes?

    (MET: Troublemaker! 😆 ).

    • John in Missouri says:

Wikipedia says: “It was previously believed that zebras were white animals with black stripes, since some zebras have white underbellies. Embryological evidence, however, shows that the animal’s background color is black and the white stripes and bellies are additions.”

      (MET: Good to know).

The article says they are only helpful during a rainy season.

So I guess that rules out any zebras in Texas.

An excellent idea. This is great to see.

I vaguely remember a TV show (circa 1955) named Sheena Queen of the Jungle. Didn’t see it in ’55 LOL. I saw it later on when it was in reruns.
