Mattel Disney Pixar CARS 2 Diecast: More 4-Pack Box Sets
There is a listing for “Racing 4-Packs” due out around Christmas time … they definitely have different UPC’s from the current Target 4-Packs.
They are the exact same size, box-wise – which makes sense – why reinvent the box. But beyond that?
So, is it still a Target exclusive?
Will we continue to get the 10 racers re-packaged in 4 boxes with the same 1 “exclusive?”
Will we get more fans or Pitty’s or Crew Chief’s?
Will someone fix the 1,800 broken CARS 2 display at Target?
Will someone make up a UPC for $17.99 and put that Target TRY ME display in their cart?
Will you race to the stores to buy more 4-packs?
Will keep you posted. I will. Unless I lose my will to post.

With virtually all of the origial 4-packs still on the shelves at my local Target, I feel the odds on seeing any of these are pretty slim. At least Target.com seems to ship the right itema when you order online…
I noticed that many of the Targets around here (Chicago area) would put out some of the newer cases of 4-packs and 7-packs, even though the first batch was still crowding the shelves, so maybe they will be better about getting these out on the shelves.
Let’s just hope for the best!! PLEASE Mattel … don’t let us down …. PLEASE!! 😀
On the subject of the 1,800 broken Cars2 displays (See paragraph 6, at the top), Our local store finally removed the display last week after it quit working for the Nth time (I’ve seen it actually work correctly only a couple of times since it was first set up, so “N” is just an estimate of how many times it has broken down).
Its either going to be fancessco, gorvette, mqueen, and nigel
or mqueen, shu, gorvette and nigel. but lately they have include 1 new car. so how about a mqueen fan without his tube thing. ha. mattel would.
i want a four pack of 4 brand new exclusive nice good priced non repaints cars with accessorys…okay im dreamin’ it was worth a shot.
Buck up Met, one of the four packs will be the “New Rearendia Team Set”, Rip Clutchgoneski, Rip’s Crew Chief, Rip’s fan and a pitty (missing one fork) sporting New Rearendia’s national colors. 🙂
As long as they have 1 new car in each 4 pack, I’ll keep buying them. I can’t resist!
I am really excited about the 4-pack with Carla’s fan. Hopefully the forthcoming batch will include him. I’d like to invoke the spirit of another song for Met, it’s called “Don’t Stop Now” by the great Ohio group GBV. 🙂

Targets here has reset. They replaced the Cars end cap with Star Wars.
There is now a large empty space on the Cars shelves that does not have any tags yet.
After going totally crazy and collecting all of Cars 1 (aside from Lenty’s), I’m holding firm on my decision on Cars 2 – I’m only collecting the 11 WGP racers and any radiator springs characters. Everything else can stay on the shelf. I’m not even collecting Finn or Holley. I like the WGP racers, and I want to have every Radiator Springs character, particularly McQueens and Maters. Of course, for Cars 2 they’ve already released 6 Maters and 9 McQueens (maybe more, but those are the only ones I’ve spotted thus far), so they’re well on their way of creating a number versions of each for this movie (many more Maters to come, I’m sure). Maybe I should have just stopped with WGP racers 😉
But how have you avoided collecting Finns and Holleys? without trying I have like 10 of them!
Is anyone out there actually finding Finn McMissile singles??? It has been so hard for me to come by this elusive character. I always hold out hope that someday I will walk into a store and see like 30 Finn’s hanging on the pegs, but one can dream, right?

Funny John, that is exactly what I started with from a song choice perspective. Then I thought about our waning relationship with Mattel regarding this new toy line and it just seemed more appropriate. haha
