Disney Pixar CARS 2: Buy CARS Licensed Merchandise, See the Movie on Us!

“Julia B.” sends along this new Safeway offer:

This is a new special offer which in effect amounts to if you spend $25 in one trip, you will get a free kid’s ticket voucher worth $10 (?)**

* Purchases must be made in a single transaction. Redemption code given via receipt at checkout. Qualifying purchases must be made between 6/1/2011– 6/15/2011.

** I cannot figure how much the voucher is actually worth but since it’s a kid ticket, I’m guessing $10 but it might be less?

Ticket voucher giveaways seem to range in value from $8 to $14 – in some places, a free matinee but in other places, about 40-60% towards a ticket.

The regular Kimberly Clark promotions runs until September.

I bought some Kleenex for around $4.50 and got 6 points towards 50 points for a custom printed movie ticket so it seems about the same as the regular deal? Other than maybe these products are discounted at Safeway this week?

NOTE: I would so FAIL the Price is Right when it comes to cleaning products. 🙂 Buying the three pack of Kleenex tissues might be the first time ever in my life I actually bought boxes of tissue. 🙂 I cannot tell you if $4.50 is normal price, a good price or not good – the CARS 2 art on the box is cool though. The only thing I can tell you is that I loath that tissue with some sort of lotion in it? Ugh. What was I talkin about again?

BTW, there are three CARS 2 box designs but you only get 1 CARS 2 box in a three-pack … yes, please make your Finn McMissile joke here … so yes, Kleenex now – collect them all and will you keep them sealed & mint until 2061? How much are 50-year old tissue boxes worth?

Kimberly Clark products vary in value …

Especially if you need diapers, load up! Here’s a list of the main product lines that will earn you points.

1.2 million boxes of Kleenex tissues will carry a password and 3D glasses allowing buyers to view three-dimensional Cars 2 content on a dedicated website.

The prizes are pretty nice bonus for a lot of stuff you’d normally buy …

Products can be purchased in multiple transactions and codes can be entered until September 30, 2011. After you enter the code, you will receive a free gift voucher delivered by mail. The following rewards can be redeemed at participating retailers:

* Collect 20 credits from participating Kimberly-Clark product and get a Cars 2 Mattel Die-Cast Car or Crayola Giant Coloring Pages.

* Collect 35 credits from participating Kimberly-Clark product and get a Cars 2 Mattel Die-Cast Car with Lights & Sounds or Crayola Color Wonder.

* Collect 50 credits from participating Kimberly-Clark product and get a $10 VISA Prepaid Card or Cars 2 Movie Voucher.

I do not know if you get to choose the diecast – when you earn enough points, let us know!

The Kimberly Clark offer of a custom name printed ticket seems nice but wouldn’t people actually NOT want to use it – or maybe that’s their plan all along. 🙂

The best deal might be Rayovac Batteries – they will discount or buy you a movie ticket for any Disney-Touchstone movie including CARS 2.

3 codes can be redeemed to receive a free print at home Hollywood Movie Money admission certificate to see Cars 2 or any Disney/Touchstone movie up to $14.

2 codes can be redeemed to receive a print at home Hollywood Movie Money discount certificate for $6 off Cars 2 or any Disney/Touchstone movie.

1 code can be redeemed to receive a print at home Hollywood Movie Money discount certificate for $3 off Cars 2 or any Disney/Touchstone movie.

Each pack sells for $5.97 so if you buy $18 worth of batteries, you get $14 back in movie vouchers … seems like a fair deal – anyone need 360 double A batteries? 🙂

Speaking of boxes, if you eat these Kellogg products, you earn points towards CARS 2 stuff …

Enter your codes at the Kellogg’s CARS 2 Passport website.

Not bad, $5 bucks of gas will buy you another trip to Target.

So remember on June 24, snicker at anyone without a voucher of some kind – neebs!

maybe it’s just me, but wouldn’t it be cheaper to just buy a ticket-then to have to buy $25.00 of stuff?

In Utah the do not allow movie vouchers for about the first week of a new movie

It’s so funny that you have to buy a “3-pack” of Kleenex to get the 1 box with Cars images, and then you are stuck with 2 “repeat” Kleenex boxes. It’s just like a Mattel packaging scheme. Thanks for the humour, Met-dude-Met!

This offer seems too complicated for me. I don’t have Safeway in my town either. I got one of those free back pack coupons. I think I’ll stick with that. If Rayovac makes those little button batteries for the lights and sounds cars, it might be worth it.

Cars 2 is everywhere, huh?? Sure sounds like they are doing their best to make sure every person on the planet gets in to see it!! 🙂
