Will we ever see bumper save hauler released on his own?
It’s been nearly 3 months after Paul was listed and still nothing in the U.S.
So it’s turned out to be a bust?

After a few emails and phone calls I got in touch with Samara at Kmart Toys who is addressing this Paul Valdez issue and the vynil toupee issue on kmart.com (in which that photo of vynil toupee has now been pulled down.
Lets give her some honest feedback as I have pointed out some thing over emails and the phone that need to be corrected as far as order checking “out the door” to us.
I do stand by Kmart from their Kmart “Cars” Days and look forward to more in the coming months and year.

Important Note regarding K-Mart.com’s and Sears.com’s listing of this product. As several of you have mentioned, this is definitely an error and I just got confirmation of this. I just canceled my order after speaking with a K-Mart/Sears representative. She contacted Mattel directly and they said the model number for Paul Valdez is going to be R6568 and that shipment of this product to stores won’t happen until August 15th. The model number for K-Mart’s incorrect listing of this product is N5532-b, which is a generic code for Haulers, so who knows what you would get if you ordered this (Gil? Mack? Trunk Fresh?).
(MET: Someone mentioned they got a bunch of Gil’s).
So on August 15th Pul Valdez will fimally be released? Almost a year late, though.
Okay, today’s August 15th, and he’s in the UK. Maybe he’ll be in the U.S. tommorow, or sooner. I hope so. And, both K Mart and Sears removed their listings for both Paul Valdez and the Richard/Marco/Fred 3 pack.
Turns out these are probably a Kmart Error and they are sending “Gil”
LOL, for their sake let’s hope not, or else they’ll be paying for a lot of returns and shipping charges. But considering Sears.com has the same listing, let’s hope it’s not a mistake.

Any word on when he’ll be out? I say maybe August. I hope he can come out soon, AND the oil can will be able to come off. However, the can is a nice touch though I wish it could come off, AND touch the ground like it did in the movie.

Didn’t take long for someone to put up a Pre-Order on eBay for these. They’d better hope K-Mart actually ships them rather than cancel the order due to no stock.

My thanks as well, Mike! If the distribution of Paul to Chicago is anything similar to Vinyl Toupee/Shifty Drugs’, then this is my only feasible option. Note that there is a small discount today only, it takes about 75 cents off your order automatically, which helps. Can’t wait for Gil and Paul’s reunion!

I still haven’t even seen Gil at our crappy Wal-Mart!! I did find Sidewall Shine Hauler at our local Shop-Ko, but why should anyone buy it for $19.95?? Cars Toons singles are $10.00 each there!!! The Lenticulars are priced at a terrible $7.95, so when you are looking for cheap Cars, either go to Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, or Kohls. (Yes, I did see Buck Tooth Seller there. I was shoked. Haven’t even seen any of the Mater the Greater Deluxe Sized at our Wal-Mart except for Cannonball Mater and Scuba Mater. 🙁 )

Paul Valdez was seen sipping from his oil can in the movie while he was parked at the truck stop. This is cannon to the movie, since he was not driving around in his scene.
yes, but these are cars movie toys, ment for thier play value,
not cars movie figureines which are ment to sit on a shelf and collect dust.
plus…its teaching kids to drink and drive!

Looks nice but I think out of all Haulers line… my favorite is Vinyl Toupee Hauler… just love that Pink+Green+Black+light blue… so awesome… Can’t wait for Shiny Wax Hauler if he is ever released… 🙁

I hope he comes out soon. I’m excited about him. I think what happened with the toons is that they got so many A and B cases that many missed out C, D, and E. Finally F and G are just making it out in the U.S. The Target sale did clear shelves O.K. just 4 Gils and 3 Trunk Fresh Haulers. So maybe shortly Paul can come out. Also, the first image looks like a proto, since it says Peterbuilt on him, and it looks like the oil can isn’t attached, whil;e in the actual one the oil can is glued and it doesn’t say Peterbuilt. Also, the Car Finder says he’s not a Peterbuilt. Also, any word on new Mega-Deluxe cases?

These haulers always look so cool in photos, but then when you see them for the first time in person, you just realize that they are Shrinky Dinks.
