I’m not into collecting the Car Toons, but, the selection on the pegs is terrible. The pegs are stuffed with dead wood. I still think moms and dads are resistant to the price and the fact the cartoons do not last more than four minutes. To shell out the asking price, if you’re making minimum wages, just is not justified. Even if making $30-$40 per hour does not justify the cost for a kid crying he or she has to have it. Just travel down the toy aisle and check the price of any plastic action figure. Once out of the “cool” looking packaging, you’re left with a $6-$9 hunk of plastic. The same with some of the Cars items. Of course the lack of retailer lack of interest in making a profit is also evident. Removing old stock and replacing it with new stock makes sense unless you’re the over paid executive vice president of toys of Wal-Mart, Target, etc. My little nephews have already moved on to Hot Wheels and Matchbox. No regrets there at $ .79-$1.00 each.

Confirming that we found Yokoza today at a Kohl’s in northern New Jersey. Great to see some new ones hitting the stores here.

  • carscrazydd says:

Rich, thanks for the info. about Kohl’s, heading there tomorrow! Hope to score some of these.

The Big Four in Central Ohio, K-mart – TRU – Target – WM, pegs are clogged with old Toon singles, and not moving.

  • It’s about time! I missed all the Tokyo Mater cars from the last boxes!

  • Rich says:

Just found Itosan and Kabuto today at Kohls in Chicago area.

  • Rich says:

Just found ItoSan and Kabuto today at Kohls, not sure if they are from
the old case or new case.

    Chicago area.

Of the 2 cases I saw in the UK, BOTH Mater’s had their masks firmly down.

  • Mike H says:

They have arrived translates to = 4 months later, they are on the shelves

  • dj says:

they should have put dr.maters doctor thing instead of his hook.

  • L8rM8r says:

Yeah I think I might actually have to purchase this case, cause who doesn’t want 4 Ninjas and at least 2 Chos. Great case now just if I can stand the wait to see them on the pegs.

  • MCL Sydney says:

Suprisingly all the latest Tokyo CARS are also available on the shelf in Australia..well at least in my area 🙂

Aussie collectors..I found these guys at Myers..you might want to head out and check if they’ve arrived at your local store.

Also BIG W has full shelve of Vinyl Toupee, Mood Springs and Shifty drug Haulers…yeehaa.

Still no signs of latest singles dough>>

    • Man-I-Fold says:

Well, of course. Shouldn’t they hit the Pacific Rim first? Surely Tokyo got them first.
Great case; can’t wait to give Ito San to my son!

  • Eric says:

It may have arrived, but it isn’t going out on the pegs any time soon. Not unless they do a clearance on the others. Bummer… Maybe I should just buy a case from CTC and call it good? 🙂 I think Target takes some returns without a receipt. haha

  • elius04 says:

Tha Doc Mater mask-up is the new model in the case H, with the 4 Komodo models, I think you could find the mask-down Doc version in this case.

  • PirateDad says:

WOO HOO! Have to sweet talk some sugar mamas to get me this case!!!

    • Samuel says:

Exactly! My little guy was begging for 4 of the Ninja cars to re-create the scene in Tokyo Mater so I had to buy some from a fellow collector in France – but they are around $12 each over there. I say it’s worth it though – the Tokyo Mater cars all look great and they are fun scenes to play out with the kids!

  • Edge says:

That’s all fine and dandy, but what about the f!@%$@*) El Materdor cars? Where’s CHUY????

  • christianscars says:

about time. I’m missing most of those.

  • cac1959 says:

It’s about time that this case arrived… Glad to hear that it’s finally here…
