I checked out the the toy section and the Christmas section. I didn’t find the Christmas set in either location. So I checked the scanner with the DCPI number I got off this website. The computer said that the Christmas set was on aisle G47. Sure enough, it was! It was right between the marked down Halloween candy and the potato chips!
It is a sweet set! Even Doc has the “sparkly” metalic look paint.
I’m counting on the McQueen variant for next year!
don’t you guys need to look in the gardening section of certain stores too?

Be careful out there in the garden section, you might find those cases that never showed up for Black Friday LAST YEAR!
My stepmom in Las Vegas called me yesterday and asked me if we had the Christmas cars yet. Of course we do thanks to this site! But we didn’t have the Shake N Go’s so she grabbed those for us. Really odd that she found the shelves full out there since I normally find all the newer stuff here and send it to her for my brothers.
Would you believe me if I told you I tipped the Target driver on his way to Las Vegas?

If anyone is interested in the globe packaging, I saw the globe packaging Christmas singles at TRU. Since I already bought the 6 pack at Target, I just got an extra McQueen to take out. I do like the cardboard ornament that comes in the package.
FINALLY … after 15 mornings of arriving at my Target before 9am, the box sets AND the singles were out … in the holiday section.

I’m shying away from the Car Toon castings, but, the Christmas motif on Mater Saves Christmas was irresistible. There’s a nice article off the AP wire concerning the potential lack of toy inventory this year due to poor recessionary sales last year. There is a list of toys in short supply already. So, if you’re thinking about this set, I suggest you buy and think about it later. The single packs at the local Target in Pierce County, WA quickly run out of any restock. Of all the holiday stocking stuffers in the Target candy aisle, this is the one to have. Sally is cute and she is one per case.
But they’ve got you over a barrel if you want the star, Reindeer Mater!
Target here had one lone single Ramone Christmas Storytellers left in the Christmas section, and only two Mater Saves christmas sets, with the Shake and Gos. They had no new regular Storytellers in toys. They have tons of the haulers and three packs, and the 4 packs. Price for singles is 3.50.
OH CRAP ! I forgot about the Shake & Go’s … need to get those too.
I also saw some ‘not very cute’ stuffed CARS at Target – Mater & McQueen in Christmas garb, with a “press here” and they sing/have music. They were with the stockings & stuff.
I am just glad I am up to date on the cousins, showgirls, and the Mater Saves XMas 6-pack. And our zillionth copy of CARS on DVD and/or BluRay on the way from Amazon. I guess I will try & dump the BluRay on ebay, since we have the original DVD from the Disney Store (did anyone get their’s from Disney Store and get the cute lithographs) release and then the BluRay also.
You should get a refund from Amazon for they matched Target’s price of $26.99. I received refund this morning.
Scored it all today…single and box set! Yeah!
Also was holding Story Tellers Buford and the Pink car with big fins, but was not that impressed and put them back…Don’t think the storey tellers are worth the price…oh well..,maybe I’ll change my mind…Also picked up the UP and Cars deal at Best Buy…Also used the 10$ off coupon. Thanks to whoever posted that!

I went to Target today and they had the 6 pack. They actually just stocked the shelf and there was 4 of them there. I bought some of the single ones, but my son really wanted the Mater Reindeer so he will be very happy with this set.
I even found Buford today but not Cletus or Jud yet
That is because there is 2 Buford’s in a case and 1 each of the other 5 new Story Tellers then a few old McQueens.
