At least with some repeats there is a chance people might get a good hold of these. The more I look at those Japanese Cars the more I like them.
imo, i think TOkyo Mater is the best tall tale of the ones released so far

I am still staying away from the Mater Tales but that DJ is pretty cool looking…
Swore I wouldn’t touch these but now they have become the FOURTH set I am collecting after mainline, minis and MSOS! I always cave!
Let’s admit it, we’re ALL weak and we cannot resist the MTT line any more than the movie lineup!
Oh, we cave every time! Was kinda hoping I’d be able to resist, and yet Candy-Corn-DJ is so awesome, and Dragon Lightning is the Collectors Guide McQueen this year, it is becoming quite difficult to just say no!
Too bad the cases don’t have a higher percentage of new releases, but I guess we’ll take what we can get, huh?
I was hoping to see “mask-up” Dr. Mater in one of these cases….
**MET, our nearest Kmart had 10 Dr. Maters w/mask DOWN singles on the pegs last weekend, really looked like they might have gotten a case full of Dr. Maters when we looked at the minimal number of other characters on their pegs.

I think the full case of Dr. Mater is quite possible, I saw a TRU not to long ago with 22 lugs and nuttys. It looked like they had gotten 2 cases one was correct the other had a full 18 of the Lugs and Nuttys. So it looks like once again those workers making 23 cents an hour really care about getting the case contents correct.
These cases started out GREAT . . . but now I am feeling a clogging of the ARTERIES coming . . . OMG the Tokyo Mater Cars are going to be INSANE!! Bring ‘em ON!!!

just curious why the randomness and all over the board releases? why not go in order: first rescue squad mater, then mater the greater, then materdor, then tokyo mater, etc. i know, i know this makes too much sense, but it would be easier to collect and keep track of that way.

As a police officer, I would just like to say that the “I love donuts” comment in Tokyo Mater is extremely condescending and EXTREMELY hilarious!

That was one of the most amazing lines in the entire short. I didn’t expect that, and the fact that it was a cop car and that cars ’spin donuts,’ made that just perfect.
Though nothing will ever beat Animaniac’s reasoning that ACME backwards is e=mc2 as mind-blowingly awesome.

When are cars from “El Materdor” going to show up? I hope they aren’t skipped. That was, by far, my favorite of the original three shorts.
Since tokyo DJ was named Yokozo it gives me an excuse to buy it i don’t buy Stuff like impound DJ and Bling Bling mc Queen. But i did cave for blowing bubbles mater
