Met would call that "canon" ;-)

Lightning does have it in the film. All the 1/43 McQueens are missing this (i.e. non-canon ???)

(MET: You mean 1:55 Mattel? Yes, missing black strip but I think it's just hard to try to paint on there for $2.99 (original price) so it would have to be a glued piece - I'm sure the deluxe 1:55 version will have it ...).

well obviously what is inside those glass cases is awesome, I love some of that stuff. However by looking carefully those glass cases are superb. Great job, and I love how you learnt this yourself.

As far as making my own cases, yes I do.

www.glassboxesofutah.com

glass is more "old school" for a "museum look"....

No one makes custom glass cases affordably for a 40 inch long Titanic model ship, So in December, 2007 I decided to make my own. Between December 2007 and March 2008, I researched the hobby of glass art, stained glass and leading, UV adhesives and I went to study how some of the glass artists do their work and made my own.

40" Titanic Case and Base was the first project. 54" x 16" x 10"

It took off from there.

18" Neca Robo Cop movie figure

18" Neca Terminator movie figure

22" Neca Alien movie figure

Indiana Jones - "3 Paperweight Crate - Treasures - Movie Tribute" glass case

Indiana Jones - "Ark of the Covenent" glass case (3 of these in the house) (Hasbro special offer) Thats what the Lightning Mcqueen is currently sitting on in the photos

Clive Cussler Tribute from the book "Vixen 03"

6 1-18th scale Batmobiles case (2nd Batmobile case is in the works now for new releases coming)

1-24th scale "Cars" case (made a 2nd one with a mirrored background)

1861 - Indian Wedding Head Dress Glass case (Its now in a museum in Paris, France)

John Elway McFarlane figure glass case

Seashell glass case (wife picked up some sand and seashells while at SDCC in 2008.

More coming......

Thanks Guys.......

we are repainting and sorry for the dust.....

SUPER NICE clear case they make...

It fits VERY SNUGGLY...(not as snug a pirate dad)

have to fudge the black base inwards a bit in the center then it slides right down on the edges providing a great seal.

But definitely HUGE HIGH MARKS.

Nice job Toy Grader.
