Not sure if there are any other CARS items on sale – only the front page of the toy section was available. But haulers are $10.
Target reset? There are several things. It does look like they moved the reset back a week to sync up with this toy sale – presumably these items are ‘loss leaders’ to bring you in at $10 and they hope you by some other things. But also keep in mind that Target resets are soft moving targets (okay, pun) … it’s up to each individual store when they decide to do a reset – sometimes it’s available employees, other times it’s available stock or ‘just because.’ So while Sunday is the reset day, some stores are already reset, others not until Sunday morning or later next week.
The Target closest to me has already done most of the reset – most MTT are out and clearly, haulers are out … and the Final Lap CARS are all gone but maybe more will appear on Sunday?
And a funny-nice story from “Nikko.” he went with a friend to check out his Target – shelf pretty empty but he figured he’d give her some DPCI numbers and see if there was anything new – maybe new Storytellers or maybe new Final Lap CARS – she said there was a lot of stuff in the stockroom so Nikko said, if you bring it out, we’ll stock it for you. Free interns? Sure!
So, she brought out the pallet cart and our two intrepid CARS buyers filled the Target pegs … so while there was nothing new to buy, Nikko got a lot of free boxes …
So, remember kids – if you’re not buying, you should be stocking …

While everyone is at KMart this Saturday, the new High Dive Mater is one to look for. Its been found already at KMarts in the upper mid west.
After I saw this – we stopped in KMart, nothing new there … no cool High Dive Mater for us today

we had 2 new targets open in the area, and haulers and the 3 car box sets have been $8.99 for the last 2 weeks, also found a King w/piston cup yesterday at the same target, late in the day nonetheless!
I’m wondering if ya’ll think I should get extras … I still have SO many Kmart CARS Day 2 cars, and I don’t want to end up like that again.
Our KMart is pretty lame – it was us and 1 other older man last time, there at 11am – we got what we wanted and then some (hence the reason I still have a bunch left over, with no one who wants them).
Oh – and also – anyone who pre-ordered a case online, have they started shipping yet, do you know ? For some reason when I try and access the order from my history page, it goes to a blank page. It does show the order though, just doesn’t provide anything further.

As far as I recall, they won’t start shipping cases until after the in-store event Saturday. I think they were trying to halt all the pre-sales on eBay (even though a lot of these Cars have been spotted in Final Lap cases at Target!).
It did not stop the presales on ebay at all.
I worded that badly — I just meant they didn’t want actual Cars showing up on eBay early. Of course Target Final Lap cases have been showing up with Kmart Cars in them, so that didn’t help things!

We hope our shopping cart is not empty. We have 9 Kmarts here and we might get a couple cars. Got over 1000 last Kmart day. Nobody goes around here. Found sealed master cases last time.
Sending my wonderful wife and 3 yr old daughter to the event…I’m coaching my son’s little league team…game starts at 11am…bummer…Since this is the third event, i have coached her well also…
1. go to customer service, get ticket
2. go to the toy aisle
3. say hi to the one other family waiting, find out that the dad waiting is more excited than the kid who’s eyeballing the transformer aisle
4. get your number drawn #1 so you get a poster (50-50 chance)
5. Kmart employee hands you a case to rummage thru
6. buy 2 of each racer, maybe 1 of each non-racer to be returned later (probably)
7. save receipt and come to the game
Done…my kmart is not even advertising it with banners this time…wierd…I was 1 of 3 people there at Kmart day 2. Hoping for the same result!

FYI – Target will match in-store sale ads only. They will not price match coupons.

Anyone know if Kmart plans on bringing out the Cars Day 1 racers with the rubber tires?

speaking of the KMart day saturday, how does it usually work? We’ve never been to one before, so should I get there pretty early, how does is usually go, what goes on? Sorry if its a dumb question I jsut dont want to get there when it starts and have it be a huge line or whatever! Thanks
it really depends on how many people show up. at our kmarts last year there were only 8 of us who were there and 12 cases to choose from so everyone got to get whatever they want. But alot of peoples kmarts have a lot more people so they draw numbers and it doesnt matter what time you get there because you could get there 30 minutes early and pick the last number.
I know exactly what you mean. Here we are 5 minutes from the Canadian border so we get a lot of additional traffic on Cars Days. Last time there were over 30 people for 18 cases so not everyone got to open their own case, but everyone did get what they wanted because there was plenty to choose from at the free-for-all.

Just be there by 10:50am and look for the tables set up back by either toys or sporting goods. They shouold hand you and anybody with you one ticket each. They will draw tickets randomly, and you get to go up to the table. You have 5 minutes to select 5 cars. When everyone has had their shot, all are welcome to come back up to the table and get whatever they want. Oh yeah, don’t forget to pay for it — some people think this event is a raffle for free stuff!

This explains why our Target had HAULERS 2 rows, double-stacked, the other day.
Funny thing, NO Storytellers, NO Final Lap, NO Pit Crew Sets on the pegs……BUT they’re all a “YES” (Back room) when you check the in-store scanner!
I didn’t pursue it beyond that, figured I’d wait it out to see what Storytellers the will eventually put out. I already got the Crew Sets and Final Lap cars before weeks ago.
A ha!! THAT is why my Target has the endcap for these toys already set up, just not at $10 prices.

I would have thought Walmart would put the haulers on sale first….

also, those who bought haulers at Target in the past 2 weeks can bring in their receipts and receive the difference when the sale starts….

I just found the reset at 1 of my targets yesterday. A partial at another on Tuesday.
Those living MN and WI, don’t forget the Fleet Farm Toyland opens Saturday at 7am. The catalog that was dropped on my front steps on Monday showed Lenticulars, I don’t know what else they might have. You will have to show up and find out. Just stop in on your way to KMart.
