Take Five New Advertiser: Say Hello to Pit Stop Toy Shop-Jake + CONTEST!
Of course, his ads have been running a while but here’s the official welcome to the Take Five Family of advertisers – thanks to support of advertisers, this site will stay free because we want 40,000 words on j-hooks, am I right?
Here is an introduction in Jake’s own words …
“Pit Stop Toy Shop is dedicated to helping you complete your Disney Pixar Cars collection. Visit http://www.PitStopToyShop.com to find all of the new releases as well as older and hard to find Disney Pixar Cars. We also carry Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts, Larry’s Garage, and the Classic Series; as well as Hasbro Mighty Muggs and SDCC Exclusive items.
I started collecting Disney Pixar Cars for my son, Tyler, on Black Friday 2007. I was a complete novice and had not even seen the movie, but after grabbing the first couple I went back to get a shopping cart and a little over $200 later I finally had found one of everything they had in the store. Then once we actually watched the movie I was completely hooked and began circling all of the local stores trying to find anything that we didn’t already have.
Shortly after that I went online and began searching for Cars information and came across a couple of information sites and forums. Once I realized there was such a huge following for this product line I began buying extras to trade with other collectors. Then, while searching the internet for some of the Cars we couldn’t find locally I checked eBay and finally began to grasp the scope of this line and how in demand hard to find Cars were. So I began buying and selling on eBay in order to get Tyler’s collection up to date and to supplement our collecting habit.
In February 2009 I decided that the eBay marketplace was becoming too saturated and I needed another venue for buying and selling. I had made a few well known contacts and made a few inquiries as to how I could get product directly from Mattel. At the same time I began researching web hosts to get my own website up and running. After about 3 months of getting all of the necessities in place I was finally up and running as a fully registered New York State business and Authorized Mattel Retailer.
There have been some changes since then and as the business and market evolve there will continue to be changes made in order to bring Pit Stop Toy Shop customers the most enjoyable experience possible.
Of course, I have to thank all of the Disney Pixar Cars fans and collectors for your support of this line. Without your passion for collecting none of this would have been possible.
Thank you for all of your past, present, and future support.

86 Cars for Chick Hicks! (contest entry)
Fun stuff… our son only has about 12 cars (hundreds waiting in the garage to begin the potty training prizes in earnest), but those 12 sure are banged up!
Whoops, didn’t see that someone else did 86 – can I change my entry to 85?
I wouldn’t worry about it – I think every number between 50 and 150 has been used at least twice. I’m sure they’ll have to have a tiebreaker.
Wouldn’t tie breaker be the post timestamp?
I believe the winner should only be the first ones with the correct total.

2nd guess 127 cars in the bottle.
I love that Tyler has such joy playing with his cars. Ours are NOT only played with they have been cake top decorations, and spent time in the cemetary.
As cute as they are I would hate for them to live only on the shelf.
After all if my son was alive he would be crashing the cars around himself.
Your memories will last a life time…promise!!!!
piratedad I know they will. Thank you.
I never tire of finding a new car, and thanks to take five I am able to catch up when I fall behind. Can’t afford eBay prices and our only store is walmart.
