Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Show Me Some Showgirls!
And another one bites the dust … the list of ‘CARS we’ll NEVER get’ grows shorter & shorter (thanks to you know who …) … the Showgirls!
And in a nice bonus – a new expression Lightning McQueen – “Aggro-Face” Lightning McQueen though officially just listed as Lightning McQueen.
(regular Lightning McQueen on the right).
And while nice that we are not being forced to buy yet another LM …
His expression is out of place in the pack … Their all smiles and giggles and he looks like someone stole his ice cold foamy Nitroade.
So I guess we shouldn’t look a gift CAR in the two-piece mouth area and just sub in a regular happy go lucky LM … and put that other one next to Chick Hicks. 🙂
And no, the Showgirls are not Miata’s …
My guess is that the Showgirls are an amalgamation of small CARS to avoid licensing issues.

Ok, Dinoco could make quite a pretty penny if they had an hour-long DVD of those showgirls having some fun at the car wash…if you know what I mean. 😛

Come on, you know a couple of those Dinoco girls got their headlights ‘enhanced’ as a 16th birthday present from ‘Daddy.’
Huh..that’s strange … I just watched ShowGirls on Showtime and ah..it wasn’t very cartoony..there were definately some “headlights” though
I have 2 cases in transit… and will need another 4 to 6 3 packs to help overseas trading friends… When I was younger, it was my fantasy to be with 2 beautiful women at the same time… McQueen should be smiling big time…
I didn’t find any in Muncie, IN today but am making a road trip to Indy tomorrow to deliver items to indykjt for Cars Cares, meet up with more Indy Cars friends, and look at as many Target, Walmart, and TRU stores as I possibly can. It may still be another week or so before we get them in Indiana…
Checked two Walmarts here in Houston this evening and no end caps here either. Reset is going on, with the planograms behind the cars. Bass Pro Shop cars are on the lower right corner of the planogram. Looks like less room for Cars.
There are a couple of #111 FLO (Lenticular) on Ebay if anyone wants to see what they look like. In one listing it states that they checked five endcap boxes and a couple of cases and only found 2 of FLO. Even though this is her first singles release, according to the pictures on Ebay she is Lenticular. No endcap PDQs in this part of NC yet.
The expression on McQueen looks like one he should have had is the SOS set!!!

How ironic is this? We’re comparing the showgirls to Mia/Tia and today’s episode of “Motorweek” on PBS is showing the latest model of the Mazda Miata MX-5…..in bright red.
Why doesn’t it have the Race-O-Rama logo?

I got one today at TRU, no ROR Logo.
I think Lightning still prefers it when Mia and Tia flip up their headlights and show their “95s”. “Oh, yeah, it’s good to be me!”
I’m sure that scene went over the heads of every kid who’s ever seen the movie! (and a few adults too)
That’s why I have always said that CARS is as much, or more, for adults as it is for kids. There are SO many things that kids would never pick up on if parents didn’t point them out. The “tire track” vapor trails in the sky, the SHORT line at the men’s room/LONG line at the ladies just before we see Elvis in the infield, the rock faces shaped like the front ends of old cars…….you know, it just goes on and on. We’ve watched CARS many times, and every time we see some little detail we missed before.
Don’t forget the CARS scene where Mack and Lightning are headed west to CA, and as we see the power lines, what appear but the little birds on the power line, with the big bird on the pole….all from the “short” that was shown with the DVD of Monsters Inc., if I recall correctly.
We are watching the movie right now on the Disney Channel! The Incredibles starts in a few minutes as well!

I love the show girls! I really like them the most because it gives two more girl cars to the line. we get a lot of these to open when our friends kids come to play and the girls really like chuki and mini because they are pink and purple and now they have these to play with too! i hope they come out with alot of the girls from the Tokyo mater tale too!!!
