Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Haulers Update 2009
The whole Hauler distribution plan is its own weird universe.
To save money, Mattel offers them as Direct Import which the large retailers won’t do because they have to arrange and pay for their own shipping so the large retailers just wait until it shows up at Mattel’s warehouse – hence the long time gap.
Timeline Choices:
Direct Import Air Freight
Direct Import Ship Feight
Mattel Warehouse to Retailers
Mattel Warehouse to Everyone
So, a good timeline is TRUNK FRESH. CTC received theirs around May 20th as they pay for air freight. If you Direct Import by ship, you should’ve have gotten it around June 15th. Lenin V. and others report seeing it at WM today so let’s just say June 25th is when it left Mattel’s warehouse so a little over a month from Direct Import to Mattel’s warehouse.
The wildcard is of course, Mattel can decide to create an entirely new case assortment for a retailer as they did a few months ago with the Wally hauler. Basically – you have to pay for shipping … unless your name is WM, Target or TRU – then all bets are off.
CASE F is scheduled to arrive at the beginning of August for Direct Import Air Freight resellers – though with the retailers Back-to-School/Autumn reset right around the corner, it may not be surprising to see the large retailers getting it. We know Target is going to the FINAL LAP/CLASSICS singles in mid August so they might add Haulers to the mix? Or if not – it might be available
NO CASE I
(Car not included).
There are essentially only 5 months left in the year and lots of cases still 7 cases left to go (not counting CASE G) so we might lose a case or have a consolidated case near Christmas but you shoudl pretty much expect all these before 2009 is truly over.
Well, it looks like the Hauler Display case for 2009 will be full by then 
BTW, CTC is having an Independence Day sale on the G CASE at $80 if you order before July 7th.

Yeah, a Cars TFAD tailgate party could be pretty cool if management let’s you. Might depend on the layout of the parking lot and if there’s room in a corner somewhere. There will be many peeps stayin everywhere at all hotels so could be a wildcard.
T5AD badges could be cool. Maybe Met will let you use the Watercolor I gave him as a Christmas present last year. That would look cool in one of those clear plastic thingies that people wear around their necks.
Red material with the Cars logo printed all around it in white? Could say “I’m a Carsoholic” underneath the Matertake5aday logo?
Should be fun, my buddy Dean is coming down from Vegas as well, should be fun. Hope we sell out of our SDCC Mattel/Pixar/Cars Rescue Mater offering.

I think I remember hearing from someone that our booth will be all set up by the time arrive but I’m sure it will need some redoing as sometime product could always be shown better.

We are off today/tomorrow, Monday I’ll find out when Tachomint is gonna hit retail because I know for a fact that are/will release ALL the Racers EXCEPT for the #84 Apple Racer.
Sure wish we could because we could do some really cool stuff. Arnoldo has basically already hand made everything I’ve pitched minus the acrylic display case

My oldest go to open No Stall with rubber tires for her birthday and can’t wait to build the whole No Stall team complete with hauler + mulitple pitties. 
She was so excited to have gotten the Kmart sign on the aisle endcap because the most prominent car was No Stall!

I do not control where it goes/when after that. Gotta remember that I’m always chasing the next years product one year ahead of time so once my team is done getting stuff approved other people decide what goes to retail when as it’s old news to me by then.

Team sets are coming, I believe early Fall. Maybe Target only? By the time we’re done with all the racer offerings you’ll be able to recreate Pit Row. All except for the Sacred Apple Offering. The forbidden fruit unless you are Arnoldo

Throwing another tantrum myself, to say that Tach O Mint stays exclusive to the Speedway set!
Mattel promised that there would be Exclusive(s) plural. Which means more than one.
I don’t consider Dale Jr, with his Nitroade body and scowl a “exclusive”.
now that all the racers excluding Apple (which is easy to copy and make a custom of) and Tach O Mint have been announced in some form or fashion.
Its time to hold Mattel’s feet to the fire on their promise of exclusives in the Speedway of the South Set. I bought the set, and well I just want what was the “advertised” push to buy this exclusive. And no I don’t consider the box to be the exclusive…
I think “scowl” face Dale Jr. and maybe Apple will be exclusive. Rev N Go is comming out soon and I hope Apple, Faux Wheel Drive , Gaskits, and Tach o Mint will be avalible in the U.S. non exclusive. But Mattel did say some cars may be exclusive, but there’s only 1,000 in the world. That’s not enough for me to concider released. I hope 36 racers will be avalible in the U.S. non exclusive.
Why are they not including Sidewall Shine with his hauler? I will still get the hauler but I don’t have the car to go with it. Mattel should put the car with the hauler just like they did with the other racer haulers.

We could only hope for team sets. But then most of us already most of the racers, lots of pittys and a handful of crew chiefs. But for those that haven’t come out in 3-packs it would be excellent.

Is there a way to get the Mack, Dinoco, and Chick out of those cases?? The WM’s and Targets are inundated with these and cannot seem to unload them off the shelves!! If there isn’t room on the shelf because of stagnant merchandise, how can you make room for the new stuff?? Haven’t we discussed this one before?

apart from the people who got him thru the MSOTS or thru the ticket sendaway promotion or thru ebay, noone has him…so most will be a hauler without something to haul!
Which car are you referring to? I know a TON of people who have Sidewall, I got mine so I want a hauler! LOL
Based on the fact that Sidewall Shine is lenticular in that photo, I’d say we’ll see him again around the time his hauler arrives.
