Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: RPM Crew Chief “Hinckey” – Aroldo to the Fix!
For eagle-eye observers of CARS, the film – may have noticed that RPM’s Crew Chief doesn’t get much Sun …
Why isn’t he wearing the proper coat of yellow?
Allergic reaction?
They just switched colors and he was just too busy?
The regular crew chief had an internal combustion problem so the assistant took over?
He forgot to pack his yellow shell?
And there’s no obvious reason this is the one that got released …
But hey, it’s better than not having RPM Crew Chief 🙂
Of course, this disconnect cost Aroldo Pongetti many sleepless nights so … Aroldo to the fix.
Everything off! Kids, avert your eyes!
Then something, something and it’s done!
It’s Crew Chief RPM in a borrow “jacket.” He tied a few too many Nitroades on, punk kids flipped him over and stole his shell. Embarrassed, he had to borrow a gray shell.
Slap some stickers on, maybe no one will notice?
Hey, guys it’s me! Really!
No one gets I’m the WHITE “R” IN RPM … It makes much more sense when we stand together …

it is not my intention to steal the work to Mattel, but only to make some beautiful models for my collection.
I also think that Martin is doing a great job on the new models!
Concerning this caracter, yes, i’m started from the Chuck Manifold carbody and added a cast resin headphone with the microphone in the right side. The color of the RPM CC is a light gray, not white and there is another CC in the movie who has the same carbody and color: the LeakLess CC.

I never had any idea about the different colour scheme there in the movie. I just guessed they were all the same.
