Disney Pixar CARS: Boom Studios CARS Comic HERE

The CARS comic book has been released …

comic

There are two covers.

good-light

McQueen explains to Darrell Cartrip how he came to be Lightning McQueen …

(guess the use GOODLIGHT tires on the lower circuit? Or our blimp collection is incompete) 🙂

We also meet Mack who was actually delivering other goods …

eggman

Cue the Beatles song!

And Mack is connected, he knows Gray from way back …

mack

Of course, Mack says McQueen’s tale to Darrell Cartrip might be a bit of an embellishment 🙂

#2 … is Mack’s telling of how McQueen became Lightning.

Good storyline though kids might want a couple of issues to read at once.

Our last post on the covers for the first three and a link to a 6-page preview.

The link above has the comic book industry code numbers for ordering or you can do it directly online at: Boom Studios.

so where can you find these?

    • Hi –

At the moment you can find the CARS comics in your local comic book store. If they don’t have them in stock they can order them for you.

However BOOM! has recently signed a newsstand distribution deal for the Pixar books so you should see it popping up in your local Barnes & Noble and other place that sell magazines in the near future.

      Hope that helps

Went to a comic book store this past weekend with my son and it took him all of 3 sec to see the Cars comic. We did purchase a copy that he has been looking at but was very concerned that Mack did not look like Mack.

He kept saying over and over “That’s not Mack, He doesn’t look right”

I tried to reason with him but he was determined to let me know that it was not Mack.

  • slicepie says:

Well, 1st of all (hehe), I could take it or leave it. Maybe if it were free…

    • For those of you who wanted to get hold of the Cars comic for free – you will be able to on May 2nd.

May 2nd is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY when your local comic book store gives out selected comics for free.

And there will be a special FCBD edition of CARS for those of you who want to try it out. The FCBD edition will include 13 pages of the 22 page story from the 1st issue plus 6 pages from the new Incredibles comic.

      Hope that helps.

If you enjoy the book I hope you carry on picking up the rest of the series.

      Cheers
