The goal of products you sell is not just to put them in a package to sell but also to convince retailers you have a nice product AND serve as advertising & marketing to people in the stores.

This box pretty much defies you NOT to pick it up …

And of course, by selling the haulers separately, Mattel also serves both collectors market. The openers who do not need the Piston Cup Racer or the Pitty can save a few bucks and just buy the Hauler … OR completists wll simply have to pull out their wallets a few more times.
