Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: Piston Cup Racers Check List Checklist (January 2009 Update)

Here is an updated checklist to reflect the Wheelers (revised launcher like series) plus the Kmart Day 2 CARS even though it’s not another 5-6 months away – at least you can keep track of what’s coming as announced.

If you’re not interested in being a completist, you can make some planning & buying strategies – for instance, you can decide if CLUTCH AID appears as a “Wheelie” before Clutch Aid as a Kmart Day single, maybe you buy it first or you wait to save presumably $4 to $5 dollars?

Of course, if you have the Motor Speedway of the South set, you have them all already and this is just filling in the blanks (other than aggro Dale Jr. which seems to be the exclusive in the set).

The only way to get everything on there was to do it in landscape mode so it looks tiny here but drag the JPEG off and you can make it larger when you print it – it should print cleanly at any size …

Everything shown on the chart is either already RELEASED and or SCHEDULED to be released. Scheduled is like anything else – it’s on a piece on paper and it’s listed to be released. Since Kmart Days is 5-6 months away and until we actually see a “Wheelie,” I listed them using a blue star – while others that are more imminent got the regular listing even though they are not actually out now.

The four Piston Cup racers in gray are NOT scheduled to be (re) released as of now but things could change – (other than aggro MSOS Dale Jr. – not listed), there will only be 4 Piston Cup racers not scheduled for re-release in the US as of now – Creme Filled Gask-its, Faux Wheel Drive, Mac iCar & Tach-o-Mint … perhaps a nice $49 box set at 2010 SD Comic Con 🙂 …

The last columns are obviously not the Piston Cup racers but the accompanying pit row CARS so it’s just there as a reference.

So, basically by July 2009, 33 of the 36 Piston Cup racers will have been re-released – even though Faux Wheel Drive is not an official release, it is available throughout Europe.

Happy Hunting.
