Mattel Disney Pixar CARS: Mini Adventures TREV DIESEL TRAIN-Resistence is Futile

You know, the longer you hold out, the harder you have to work to complete your MINI set …

You’re still going to resist?

And not buy the 16 MINIS to fit into the “Trev Carrying Case?”

With rolling wheels!

Trev in case you don’t remember is a 1949 EMD Trevithick Electro-Diesel Locomotive. (named for Richard Trevithick who built the first steam engine locomotive) that McQueen races across a crossing …

Can you resist?

BTW, here’s is the MINI visual checklist of everything out (not including the latest shipment or the 9-piece box) and the SD Comic Con MINI roundup.

  3. Thanks a lot Mattel!!!

I’ve been able to resist buying all the Minis for my son….until now!

When he sees that train carrier, he’ll do his puppy dog eyes routine and the “please, please, please” will start…I know I’m going to cave.

    (sigh)

Luckily, the Minis are so darn cute! :)

  4. Fortunately….I can! If I start on the mini craze, I will have to add an additional wing to the additional wing for the diecasts!!

    Very, very cool though!!

  5. On my buying trip this weekend I kept putting the minis back, telling my family to focus on the diecast….arrhgghghh…I don’t think I am strong enough….maybe we will be lucky and they will have been painted with lead paint and recalled!!! Course then we will just want them more, cuz we can’t have them!!!!

  6. All right I have held off as long as I could on the mini’s, but this carrier takes the cake! The only issue I have is getting the normal paint jobs of the mini’s. I am not a big fan of all the “different” paint jobs that were not in the movie.

My name is Chad Morgan and I am a Cars-O-Holic. I have had this dissorder for 10 months and 3 days now. The only problem is I don’t think there is a cure and I don’t want to know what it is if there is one…

Whew, glad I got that off my chest!

  7. Shanon, I have held out on these too. Then they came out with the Banshee play set, and Banshee needed more than one car to eat. And the drive in little race track is real cute, and all of the newer stuff that sticks more to the original designs and color— resistence is FUTILE. I am a sick, sick woman. Epecially when it involves a cute tidy carry case.(I have six of the original race track ones with the stickers removed and properly labled with the proper car for the spot). I need help. But I also need the new trev deisel. My name is Mary and I’M a cars- a -holic .

(MET: Don’t forget - you can get 6 at WM for only @10.99 - a huge savings over the previous pricing - like 40% off! :-) )

  8. I was hooked on these the first time I saw them. And I thought Mini Mack was cool; this is awesome!

I don’t mind that they have Cars that don’t look like they did in the movie. I think it gives the toys more staying power and it gives kids a chance to use their imagination making up stories about Lizzie working on LMQ’s team or Fillmore creating a big festival that everyone gets dressed up for.

  9. I just can’t help smiling when I read these posts…thanks everyone for sharing your addiction, admitting itt is the first step….and thanks Met for providing the church basement for our meetings!

  10. OMG that is the cutest thing EVER!

My Fillmore’s Festival set is complete except for the last two packs that will be coming out and I am just starting my Race Rods and Tunerz.

Banshee is a lot of fun to play with.

  13. When I first saw the mini’s I was thinking that they were not my sort of thing and that they were pull backs (I hate pull backs) !!! but I soon started collecting them because the are so cute !!! I coudn’t resist !!!! I now have over 20 and am still collecting so thumbs up to mattel on creating these fantastic cars !!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Wouldn’t it be great if Mattel made passenger cars and a caboose to attach to the back Trev. Then you’ll have to buy more Minis to fill up all the extra train cars. :)

(MET: Great minds think alike … if Trev sells well … let’s just say you might need another 16-MINI’s … :-) ).

    [Reply]

  15. Awesome, my daughter already has enough to fill it. She’s going to love that.

    [Reply]

  16. Wow, I was upset at Mattel at first for making all these silly different paint jobs, but no longer!

    [Reply]

  17. Great suggestion Fiddleheads. I wonder if Mattel reads this board. In case they do I WOULD BUY ALL OF THE TRAIN AND THE MINIS TOO. Thanks for the shopping tip Met. We’re off to Walmart as soon as kindergarten gets out.

  18. very cool, but i wish he wasnt a carrier! i dont think im going to get him as id like to keep my mini line exclusive… if, that is, we ever get any new ones over here.

  19. Oh soooo cute! Help, I don’t buy minis. I don’t buy minis. I don’t…..

  20. Good luck Micky, I said almost the exact same thing about six months ago I think. Met’s right, resistance is futile, they are way too cute.

  24. Will and Adam, I didn’t like them either, but they give me something else to hunt for in the regulsr Cars off seasons. Now they have grown on me. I try to stick with the original type. Anyway you can try to resist. Have you seen the new trailers yet?

    [Reply]

  25. MUST RESIST… ITS NOT FUTILE. MATTEL WANTS ALL MY MONEY!

Hey its actually easy to resist…every time I think about jumping in I just remember all the made up paint jobs and start laughing… WHAT WERE THEY THINKING! PASS!
